Why We Should Care About the Amazon Rainforest More

Do you know about the Amazon rainforest? Well, if you do or if you don’t you need to know that it’s in BIG danger right now and we should really focus our attention in trying to save it. I’m going to give you some reasons why.

The Amazon rainforest is one of the biggest rainforests on our planet and pretty well known! The Amazon rainforest is filled with lots of different animals! For example, some of the animals in the Amazon rainforest are the Plum-throated cotinga, Caiman, Ocelot, Amazon river dolphin, spider monkey, three-toed sloth, glass frog and much more! Lots of these animals aren’t as well known as a dog or cat but you would be surprised at how similar they actually are!

The Amazon rainforest may not seem very important to the world we are living in but it really is. The Amazon rainforest covers 4% of the world and that may not seem like a lot but compare to how big this world is…it’s a LOT. Lots of fires have been happening in the Amazon rainforest which means that lots of trees have been dying. Trees may not seem very important but they really are! Thirty-one percent of the world is covered in trees and trees produce oxygen for us while taking in our carbon dioxide so we have clean air. To sum it all up we NEED trees to survive. If we continue to destroy the Amazon rainforest at first we will have extremely dirty air and then just end up with no air at all. We really need to stop hurting the Amazon rainforest and ANY rainforest for that matter! Sometimes it seems like there is not much we can do to stop what’s happening but just spreading the message is helping. If you want to learn more about how you can help and more about the Amazon rainforest you could search it up or read some books about it! I hope this was at least a bit helpful. Have a nice day/afternoon/night where ever you are!
